Columbus, GA- Mr. Jimmy Hood, 62, of 43 Meloy Drive, Columbus, GA passed on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Medical Center Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Crawford, AL with Rev. L.V. Brooks, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Hood was born on December 27, 1948 in Crawford, AL to Kelvy Lee Hodge Hood and the late Woodrow W. Hood, Sr. He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Hood is survived by his mother, Kelvy Lee Hood of Crawford, AL; two brothers, Woodrow (Dyanne) Hood, Jr. and Alvin (Rita) Hood both of Crawford, AL; three sisters, Sarah and Ozell Hood both of Crawford, AL and Dorothy Hood Dixon of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
