Columbus, GA- Funeral service for Mr. Joseph Lamb Humphries,57, of 3028 Lansing Avenue who passed on Friday, July 1, 2011 will be conducted on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Holsey Chapel C.M.E. Church, 718-8th St. Rev. Jamie L. Capers, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home today from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
Mr. Humphries was born February 23, 1954 in Columbus , GA to Fronnie and Lester B. Humphries.
He was a member of Holsey Chapes C.M.E. Church and a former LPN.
Survivors include a devoted mother and father, Fronnie Humphries and Lester B. Humphries, Columbus, GA; two daughters, Ayanna Richardson and LaTanya(Dominique) Hubbard, Columbus, GA; one son, Joshua Humphries, Columbus, GA; three sisters, Patricia (Shelly) Williams, Lula Kimbrough and Rose Evoin Sillah all of Columbus, GA; four brothers, Albert Humphries, Jamaica, N.Y., Jerome (Sherry) Humphries, Kenneth Humphries and Ronnie Humphries all of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
