Columbus, , GA- SFC (Ret.) Julius Bridges Jr, 69, passed Friday, March 30, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be held 12:00 noon EST, Friday, August 6, 2018 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Kori Bridges, officiating; Rev. Dr. Sonny Bridges, eulogist. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 12 - 6 p.m. EST with a family hour from 4 - 5 p.m. according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
SFC (Ret.) Bridges was born August 12, 1948 in Silver Creek, MS to the late Julius Bridges Sr. and the late Corene Bridges. He retired from the US Army and from civil service.
Survivors include his wife, Gilda Bridges; three children, Tara (Lamont) Beard, Daryl Bridges, and Julius Keith (Gwenecia) Bridges; 12 siblings, Annie W. Hill, Mary Gaines, Willene Peyton, Narcissie Payton, Roosevelt (Janice) Bridges, Rev. Dr. Sonny (Janice) Bridges, Genevia Walton, Jerry (Robin) Bridges, Eloise B. Tucker, Deborah (Wayne) Starks, Ralph (Betty) Bridges, Jim (Candence) Bridges; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
