Phenix City, AL- Miss Keonte S. Chavis, 19, of 14 Grissom Lane, Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, August 9, 2014 in Seale, AL.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Dr. Patrick Brown, pastor, officiating. There will be no public viewing according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Miss Chavis was born October 31, 1994 in Newburgh, NY to Nikisha S. Grissom of Covington, GA and Anthony L. Chavis of Maybrook, NY. She was a 2012 graduate of Central High School and attended CVCC in Phenix City, AL.
Survivors other than her parents include one brother, Justin Chavis of Newburgh, NY; maternal grandparents, Gail Grissom of Phenix City, AL; Paul Marshall (Cynthia) of Walnut Creek, CA; paternal grandparents, Joyce Chavis of Maybrook, NY; Anthony Mathis of Ithica, NY; maternal great grandmother, Mary Grissom of Phenix City, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.
