Leroy Allen April 6, 1964- September 9, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Leroy Allen, of 2609 Pinola Ave, Columbus, GA died September 9, 2007 at the Medical Center. Mr. Allen was laid to rest Friday, September 14, 2007 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Fredonia, AL. Mr. Allen was born April 6, 1964 in Buam holder Germany to the proud parents of the late SFC Thomas McKinley, Sr. and Bobbie Jean Allen. Leroy joined New Bethel A.M.E. at an early age and later united with Mt. Zion UMC. He was educated in the Muscogee Co. School System and he left to finish school. Mr. Allen was a 1983 graduate of Five Points High in Fredionia, AL. After graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Upon finishing his obligations with the service, he held various jobs in Colorado and Columbus, GA. Other than his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas M. Allen, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Nevelyn Allen; sons, Leroy Allen, Jr. and Romeo Taylor; daughters, Essence Allen and Ivory Mitchell of Colorado Springs; sisters, Mrs. Heidi J. Williams, Mrs. Kathy Majors (Michael), both of Columbus, GA and Mrs. Veronica Allen of Woodbridge, VA; a mother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a step-mother; three stepsisters; two stepbrothers; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family apologizes for the mix up on the church. Thank you for your prayers and expressions of love.
