Columbus, GA- Linda Marie Stough, 62, died peacefully at her home in Columbus, GA, on May 18, 2018. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 25, 1955, Linda was the third child of Allen Vernon Stough Jr. and Erdine Wright Stough. Linda spent many playful hours with her older siblings, David and Pat.
Linda was an affectionate person, always ready to give and receive big hugs and little kisses, and she delighted in music, especially songs performed by Johnny Cash. Living in the same community of Wellington for many years, Linda became well known to a variety of neighbors who would stop to visit with her as her health declined. Dependent all her life on her mother and father, Linda experienced loving attention from her family, her longtime caregiver, Judy Latham, and neighbor Sgt. Walter Hardy.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Allen.
Survivors include her mother, Erdine Stough of Columbus, GA; sister, Patricia Sanders and husband Larry of Palm Harbor, FL; brother, David Stough and wife Linda Mellana of Sonora, CA; nephew, Brian Sanders and wife Lara of Tarpon Springs, FL; great-nephews, Wilson, Liam, and Ian Sanders of Tarpon Springs, FL; and step-niece Sabrina Paulson of Portland, OR.
Linda's life will be celebrated during a small family gathering.
