Marcus "Polo" Smith September 20, 1962- November 23, 2005 PHENIX CITY, AL— Mr. Marcus "Polo" Smith, 43, of 100 - 6th Place South, Phenix City, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2005 at Walker Temple Church of God In Christ in Columbus with Superintendent Ronnie Duckworth officiating. Interment will follow in Edmond Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 until 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born September 20, 1962 in Columbus, GA., son of Mattie Smith and the late Robert Smith. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney in Columbus. Survivors include two sons, Kelton Smith and Marcus Smith, Jr., both of Columbus; two daughters, Samone Smith of Savannah, GA. and Naomi Smith of Columbus; his mother, Mattie Smith of Phenix City; two brothers, Larry Winn of Phenix City and Bryan (Paula) Smith of Ontario, CA; one sister, Venessa Jones of Phenix City; two grandchildren.
