Marjene Hamby November 22, 1927- February 4, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Marjene Hamby, 79, of Columbus, GA. died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2006 in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 11 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Miss Hamby was born November 22, 1927, daughter of the late Audis Brady Hamby and Dona Mae Carver Hamby. She had lived in Columbus for most of her life and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1944 and was retired from W.C. Bradley Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. Survivors include numerous cousins which include, JoAnn Cain, Gene Hamby, Linda Baumgarton, Jeannine Keenum, Di Anne Lowe, Jimmy Smith, Judy Grandur, William Dillworth, Bobby Lowe, James Windsor, and Lynn Windsor.
