Columbus, GA- Martin Phillip "Phil" Robertson, 88, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with burial at 3:00 PM at Kennesaw Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder and Father Dan O'Connell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Phil was born May 22, 1930 in Brighton, Michigan son of the late Martin Rinlaub Robertson and Margaret Lobban Robertson. He worked with Westinghouse Corporation in the sales division and was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a graduate of Western Michigan University. Phil liked to travel, play poker, bridge, golf, entertain and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Robertson and his older sister, Betty Jean Robertson.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Martha Barrs Robertson, his children, Carole Smith (Kenneth) of Colleyville, TX, Martin Phillip Robertson, Jr. (Sandra) of Charlotte, NC, Michael Robertson (Kimberly) of Danville, IN, Creek Katherine Harris (Jack) of Oxnard, CA, sister, Alice Stratton (Dick) of Jacksonville, FL, brother, John Robertson (Mary Ellen) of Muskegon, MI, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association 5156 River Rd. M Columbus, GA 31904 in memory of Phil Robertson.
