Even though I never knew him, he was my Dad's first cousin. My Dad was James Warren who died in 1986 at the age of 67. I have talked with Marvin's sister named Beatrice Dowdy. In fact I have learned most of what I know about the Warren family from her. My Dad was a wonderful man and I am sure Marvin was as well. May God be with you.

The members of Military Marksmanship Association mourn the passing of Master Sergeant (Retired) Marvin E. Warren. Many of our members served with him in the United States Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Georgia, and have fond memories of him. The marksmanship community, the Military Marksmanship Association, the U.S. Army, and our country have lost an outstanding soldier, citizen, and friend.

I'm truly sorry for your loss Mrs. Warren. I only met you briefly for a couple of hours when he was admitted at Columbus Hospice on Friday; I was actually the nursing student. Mrs. Warren, you seemed to be a very devoted and caring wife. Stay strong during this difficult time. May God Bless you and your family. In the obiturary, I noticed that Mr. Warren was born in Cordele, Ga; which is my hometown. You are in my prayers.
My boys and I both miss our "Awesome Daddy" and "Wonderful loving husband" dearly who rest peacefully in his special place just as Mr. Marvin will!
