Mattie Clyde Bartlett November 17, 1928 - September 18, 2008 PHENIX CITY, AL — Mrs. Mattie Clyde Bartlett, 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church with Reverend J.T. Herring officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City Chapel. Mrs. Bartlett was born November 17, 1928 in Pike County, AL to the late William Monroe and Jimmie C. Sanders. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mill and was a member of Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. "Buddy" Bartlett, her daughter, Jimmie Elizabeth Bartlett, grandson, Joey Hutchins, sons-in-law, James Hutchins and Alex Saverino. Survivors include her children, Sandra Hutchins, Dee Saverino, Cindy and Dink Kinnaman, Tammy and Rusty Moody, Margaret Anderson; sisters, Sara Mobley and Dollie Trout; brother, Charles Sanders; grandchildren, Beverly and Scott McDonald, Jimmy and Ingrid Hutchins, Jerry and Debra Hutchins, Dee and Johnny Elkins, Sean and Nichole Stapleton, Tracy and Billy Herring, Heather Harrell, Cody Kinnaman, Cory Kinnaman, Zach Moody, Brittney Sides, Mallory Moody, Alex Saverino, Nikki Olive, Stephanie Saverino, Max Saverino; great grandchildren, Scott McDonald, Hunter McDonald, Josh Hutchins, Elizabeth Newbern, Chelsea Hutchins, Amber Hutchins, John Upton, Jeremy Hutchins, Jessica Elkins, Eric Baird, Pagie Stapleton, Christa Stapleton, Tanner Stapleton, Kaylee Stapleton, Loren Queen, Avery Queen, Peyton Harrell, Tanner Bunce, Liam Olive and Seamus Olive; and special nieces, Brenda and Dan Royal and Martha and Ernest Leaman. Special "thanks" to the ICU nurses at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital and Vista Care Hospice in Phenix City and Columbus. I was very sorry to hear of Aunt Clyde's passing. I will always remember visiting with her at Thanksgiving and the wonderful pies she always made. Girls, I'm sorry for your loss.
