Melvin J. Hall
August 31, 1960 - March 25, 2021
Columbus, Georgia - Melvin Hall passed away at his home in Columbus, Georgia on March 25, 2021. He was born August 31, 1960 to the late Ivery Hall and Gloria B. Hall in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Melvin attended Forrest Road Elementary School before moving to Ft. Riley, Kansas where he attended middle school. He returned to Columbus and attended Shaw High School before transferring and attending Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan where he was a part of the 1978 graduating class.
Following graduation, he entered the army and after the army he attended school to become a heavy equipment operator. He worked many years for the City of Columbus in the department of public works.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivery Hall.
He leaves to cherish is memories; his mother, Gloria Hall; two sisters, Katie (Clifford) Smith, of Alpharetta, GA and Barbara Luke of Columbus, GA; one brother, Jerry (Patricia) Hall, of Fairfax Station, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Service will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Green Acres Cemetery with Reverend Chad Bryant officiating.
