Box Springs, Georgia- Michael Roger Foree, 56, of Box Springs, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 2:00pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm.
Mr. Foree, son of the late James Lowell Foree Sr. and Erna Klara Lipski Foree, was born January 26, 1960 at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. Mr. Foree worked construction and was self-employed. He was also a member at St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Other than his parents, Mr. Foree was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ann Slisz, Barbara Ann Rice; and sister-in-law, Kitty Hurtt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Joyce Foree; daughter, Elaina Marie Spamer; son, Joshua Michael Foree; daughter, Allison Renee Foree; siblings, Estelle Lewis (Larry), Kathy Teel, James Foree Jr., Robert Foree (Judy), Sandy Arwood (Mike); nieces and nephews, Mark Teel (Michelle), Ashley Robinson (Clint), Crissy Neal (Mark), Laura VanOssenbruggen (Max), Myles Hurtt (Autumn), Katie Molina (Juan); close friends, Gabi Murray, Christina Murray, Caterina Murray "Yak Yak"; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Words can not express my shock and sadness at the loss of Mike. He marched to a different drummer than most but he left his mark. He will be missed.
