Pensacola, FL- Michael Paul Noell, Sr. of Pensacola, FL died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
Mike was born in Columbus on January 9, 1951 to Boyce (dec.) and Vivian (Weekley) Noell. He attended Mercer University, where he met the love of his life, Terri Simmerson. They married after he graduated in 1973. A natural sportsman, Mike played semi-professional softball. He was a lifelong University of Alabama and Miami Dolphins fan. Mike loved fiercely and was a wonderful husband, dad, and granddaddy. He was beloved by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Terri Noell of Pensacola; his daughter, Tiffany Noell (Becky Thompson) of Savannah, GA; his son, Michael Noell, Jr. (Sonya) and their children of Pensacola; his daughter, Stephanie Noell (Randy Milholland) of Dallas, TX; his son, Robert Noell of Pensacola; his mother, Vivian (Weekley) Noell of Columbus; his brother, Roger Noell (Becky) and their children of Marietta; his brother, Charles Noell (Ann) and their child of Peachtree City; and his brother, Stephen Noell (Carol) and their children of Columbus.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, FL.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. We played a lot of tournament softball together back during the 70's & 80's here in Columbus. Mike was not only an outstanding player but also a super guy who greeted everyone with a smile. He loved his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

I first met Mike on a test drive at Milton Chevy. As we were driving along I found out he knew my big brother and had played church league softball with him in the 80's and that he was from Columbus, Ga. I had lived across the river in Phenix City, Al. We had an instant connection. Mike sold my family cars for years and always made himself available to us. We last saw him last year when he sold my son his first car. What a dear man and how we will miss him. Even though we only saw him once every couple of years, he was like family to us. Prayers for his family and friends. Rest well Mike. You will be missed.
