I will truly miss my good friend, Michael, who I met while living in Milledgeville many moons ago and who never met a stranger and could talk for hours on any subject. Rarely do you meet someone as passionate about his beliefs and loves and as much fun to be around as Mike. He and I would chat by phone every few months: at the beginning of baseball season, at the beginning of football season -- he, extolling the virtues of his beloved Auburn Tigers while also kindly referencing my Georgia Bulldogs, his second favorite team -- and at the beginning of hockey season, which would have been our most recent talk had he not passed. I knew when Mike called to set aside a good 45 minutes to chat, and I loved every second of it. Nobody like him. Won't be the same without him.

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I had fallen out of touch during the last 25 years, but this is still so very hurtful. Here's offering prayers for the family and praying that Michael is now finally in his new heavenly home with our wonderful Creator. May God comfort his family here on Earth and until they one day are reunited with him.

Mike and I were fraternity brothers at GSW though we lost touch after college. I always thought highly of him even though he was an Auburn fan (I'm a Georgia fan). Even though it's been years since I've seen Mike I miss him even more now.
Just for today, Brother, War Eagle!

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I grew up right down the street from him. Prayers for the family, wife and daughter.
