Nell Bizzard Obituary

Nell C. Bizzard June 19, 1919- February 18, 2005 COLUMBUS, GA— Nell C. Bizzard, 85, of 956 Illges Road, Columbus, died Friday, Feb. 18 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Carter Monumental CME Church, 559 Radcliff Ave. in Columbus. Visitation will be 1 p.m. February 25 at William T. Ford Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. with a special rite performed by the Al Faruk Court No 94 Daughter of Isis. Mrs. Bizzard was born June 19, 1919, daughter of Annie Mae Hartridge and Glenn Crowell. She was a retired florist and a member of The Ruth V. Cobbs Chapter No. 105 (Order of the Eastern Stars), WE Terry Court No 6 (Heroins of Jericho), Daughter of Isis Al FARUK Court No. 94, Past State President Elks Lodge, IOTA PHI LAMBDA Sorority, Inc., Beta Zeta Chapter, PELATI Auxillary Missionary Society Immediate Past Vice President of the North Columbus/LaGrange District, Stewardess Board, Board of Social Concerns (Youth Department), Past Member of the Pastors Aid Board, Member of the Mordenett Social Civic Club and a member of the Columbus Times Advisory Board. Successfully crafted several career choices and Earned degrees that qualified her for catering, food preparation, florist, chef, nurse, designer, seamstress and interior decorator. Mrs. Bizzard received a Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding contributions to the Fraternal Order of Police. She also received recognition at the 2004 Crowell Family Reunion for faithful service and dedication. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda J. Jenkins (Eddie); a son, Anthony Bizzard (Johnnie Mae); grandchildren, Simone L. Harrison (Terry), Christopher N. Bizzard, Anthony Bizzard, III, Kendra J. Jenkins, Antonio J. Bizzard, Antoinette E. Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Christron M. Bizzard, Imani S. Harrison, Warren C. Harrison; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and acquaintances.
