Columbus, Georgia - Ms. Nettie Joyce Mason, 77, transitioned her life Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 11:00 am at Holsey Chapel CME Church, 718 8th St, Columbus, GA. Rev. Dr. Curtis West, Jr. will be officiating according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC, 2919 Hamilton Rd, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Monday, June 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Ms. Mason was born September 13, 1943 to the late Ellis Mason and Ethel Williams in Hamilton, GA. She was a 1963 graduate from Spencer High School in Columbus, GA. Ms. Mason retired after 32 years of service from the Muscogee County School District Nutrition Department. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and was a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star, Cassiopeia Chapter 235 in Columbus, GA. Ms. Mason was a faithful member of Holsey Chapel CME Church, where she served on the Usher and Missionary Boards. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sister, Carolyn Mason Sims; her niece, Melissa Joyce Sims; her nephew, Vincient Anthony (Katherine) Sims; great niece, Ayanna Sims; great nephews, Donavan Sims, Knowledge Sims; great-great nephew, Major Merrill; a host of other relatives and friends.
