Columbus, GA- Mr. Ray Gardner, Sr., 62, of Columbus died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Columbus Hospice. Funeral Service for Mr. Gardner will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Life Changing Church, 4605 Langdon Street, Columbus. Bishop Tony Banks, Pastor, will be officiating. Interment will be held in Green Acres Cemetery according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the funeral home located at 927 - 5th Avenue, Columbus.
Mr. Ray Gardner, Sr. was born on October 19, 1954 to the late Ola Mae Milton Gardner and Charlie Lee Gardner in Chicago, IL. He is a graduate of Marion County High School in Buena Vista, GA and was a member of Life Changing Church.
Mr. Gardner is survived by significant others, Kathy Bland and family; two sons, Ray Gardner, Jr. (Katrina), Columbus and Roceaser Ivy, Chicago, IL; five sisters, Rosie Hardison (Charles), Columbus, Mary Gardner, Victoria Jordan (John), Sheila Gardner (Phyllis), Betty Jean Gardner all of Chicago, IL; four brothers, Will Gardner (Verta), Aurora, IL, Derrick Gardner (Annie), Minnesota, Deon Gardner (Tanya) and Kevin Gardner both of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving guest at 2703 Pinola Ave.
