Roy Moultrie

April 2, 1932 - January 8, 2024

Cullman, Alabama - Roy Dean Moultrie, age 91 of Cullman, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born, April 2, 1932 to Alva Claude "A.C." Moultrie and Ossie Moultrie.

Mr. Moultrie attended Mountain Hill High School where he graduated in 1948. He went on to attend West Georgia College and Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Theta Phi and the Blue Key Fraternities.

While living majority of his life in Harris County, GA, Mr. Moultrie served as Probate Judge in Harris County for 28 years. After serving as probate judge, he went on to serve the citizens of Georgia in the Georgia House of Representatives for 8 years. Mr. Moultrie then retired in 1992.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Dean Moultrie; brothers, Ferrell Cook Moultrie, Marvin Pierce Moultrie and A.C. "Buddy" Moultrie, Jr.; and sister, Francis Elizabeth Moultrie,

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Anne M. Moultrie; and one daughter, Elizabeth Anne Moultrie.
