Palmetto, GA- Ruby Lee (Wilkerson) Hayes, age 94, of Palmetto, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born on April 8, 1921, in Elba, Alabama. Her parents were Nettie Virginia Wambles and Marshell Corbitt Wilkerson. She married Aubrey Wade Hayes on May 1, 1938, in Jakin, GA. She loved people and never met a stranger. She was always making someone laugh at her witty ways or a joke.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Aubry Hayes; daughter, Patricia Moose; sister, Annette Griswold; and brothers, Doyle and Kenneth Wilkerson.
She is survived by: son, Don Hayes and his wife, Judy, of Chattahoochee Hills; five grandchildren, Cindi, April and Travis Moose, Vicki Brown and Dale Hayes; four great grandchildren, Alexis and Cody Hayes, and Noelle and Joshua Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Holly Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA. Dr. Jimmy Orr will officiate. An interment service will be held at 3:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 4500 St. Mary's Road, Columbus, GA 31907.

May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time in your lives. We all yearn for better conditions. It's refreshing to know that God's word speaks of a time when all sorrows will be gone and that mankind will live in beautiful surroundings with nothing to fear.-Isaiah 65:17,21-24.
