Ruby Harrelson Jones December 5, 1931- February 6, 2008 WAVERLY HALL, GA— Ruby Harrelson Jones, 76, of Waverly Hall, GA. died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Helms officiating. A private interment will be in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the chapel service at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Mrs. Jones was born December 5, 1931 in Tabor City, NC., son of the late Effie Wilson Harrelson and William Berry Harrelson. She was employed by Liberty Mutual as a bookkeeper, was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and the Victory Sunday School class and was also a member of the Miles Center. She also sponsored a child through World Vision. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Jones Meares; sisters, Aileen Wilson and Omie Cook and was the widow of Rt. SFC Charles R. Jones. Survivors include her sister, Thelma Steele and husband Robert Steele of Rocky Ford, GA.; a brother, Everett Harrison of Jacksonville, FL.; a son in law, Lum Meares of Waverly Hall, GA.; brothers in law, Gary Cook of Linden, NC., Clifton Jones, Hope Mills, NC. and Billy Jones, Irenton, MO.; sister in law, Bobbie Kemp, Irenton, MO.; several nieces and nephews.
