Columbus, GA- Mrs. Shirley D. Parham 77, of 4308 Curry Street, Columbus was called home to be with the Lord, April 19, 2015 . Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Greater Beallwood Baptist Church, 4419 Sherwood Avenue with the Pastor, Rev. Adrian Chester officiating and Rev. Jimmy C. Parham, eulogist. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery according to Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 2919 Hamilton Road, Columbus. Visitation will be today, Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Parham was born February 27, 1938 in Russell County, AL to the late Jimmie Lee and Sallie Mae Jones Mitchell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by her husband the late Reverend Charlie Rayfus Parham. She came to Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL under the spiritual leadership of Rev. J. C. Cook. In 1955, she wed Charlie Rayfus Parham and they shared 31 years of matrimony until Rev. Parham was called home to be with the Lord in 1986. Mrs. Parham followed her husband Rev. Charlie Rayfus Parham to Beallwood Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia where she served and sang in the choir. Mrs. Parham leaves to mourn eleven children: Juanita Bell (Virginia), Rev. Jimmy Parham (Marcia) Seale, Alabama, Robbie Mae Parham, Shasta Lake, California, Gwendolyn Diane Parham, Columbus, Georgia, David Parham, Stone Mountain Georgia, Debra Renee Davis (Ralph II) Augusta, Georgia, Schawana Vanessa Parham Lithonia, Georgia, Belinda Denise Parham Atlanta, Georgia, Rayfus Christopher Parham (Diane) Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Lashondra Deloris Parham Columbus, Georgia and Charles Antonio Parham Columbus, Georgia. Also, Mrs. Shirley D. Parham leaves to mourn ten grandchildren: Mathias, Jeremiah, Jimmy Jr., Timothy (Jessica), Joshua (Jenelsia), Ralph III, Olyvia, Tamaya, Tarah and Michael. Mrs.Parham also leaves to mourn three brother-in-laws, Henry Parham, Issiac Parham, James Baber seven sister-in-laws, Zara Parham, Martha Parham, Adrienne Butler, Josie Baber, Cora Smith, Nettie McClure, Angela French, and a host of cousins and friends.
