Columbus, GA- Sylvia D. Newsome, 61, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM EST Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM EST at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Newsome was born March 2, 1954 in Orlando, FL, daughter to the late David Lewis Hudson and Mary Nolin Hudson. She was a homemaker and she attended Assembly of God Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky Hudson and Frank Nolin, and her sister Brenda Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Roxane Carroll and son-in-law, Tony of Williston, ND, grandson, Spencer Carroll of Minot, ND, brothers, Danny Hudson and sister-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Caldwell all of LaFayette, AL, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
