Columbus, Georgia- Ms. Taryn Evita Smith, 46, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cathedral of Prayer Church of God in Christ. Dr. Charles Rodgers will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2017 from noon until 6 PM, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus, GA.
Ms. Smith was born October 12, 1970 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to the late Herman Smith and Grace Smith. She was a member of the Cathedral of Prayer Church of God in Christ. Ms. Smith was a Para-professional for Martin L. King Jr. Elementary School.
Survivors include two sons, Kemuel Hood and Nigel Hood; two daughters, JeQuitta (Richardo) Stalling and Kiersten Strother; her mother, Grace Smith; a brother, Charles White; ten sisters, Dr. Gloria (Charles) Rodgers, Jackie Hillman, Jacqueline Smith, Rita ((Raleigh) White, Wanda (Tony) Herndon, Jimmie (Glenn) Fleming, Valarie Silas, Tanya Smith, and Dr. Deunderia (Lonnie) Wraggs, and Verneisha Smith; a grandchild Roman Stalling; and other relatives.
