Thelma Louise Stringfellow November 3, 1923 - October 13, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA— Thelma Louise Stringfellow, 85, of Columbus, GA died at her residence Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with Reverend Dale Paul, officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. this evening, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the funeral home. Mrs. Stringfellow was born November 03, 1923 in Homes County, FL daughter of the late John R. Paul and Beedy Arrant Paul. She was a member of Linwood Baptist Church and had retired from the Medical Center of Columbus as a Unit Secretary after many years of dedicated service. We will always remember her smile, positive attitude and warm heart. The memories of her will always be cherished in our hearts. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, George J. Stringfellow of Columbus, GA; two children, Bobby Stringfellow and his wife, Peggy of Talboton, GA and Nina Cofield of Macon, GA; six siblings, Mildred (Edsel) Brooks of Ponce de Leon, FL, Muriel Collins of Tallahassee, FL, Malrie (Edith) Paul of Westville, FL, Melvin (Carline) Paul of Westville, FL, Earline Zaculla of Chicago, IL, and Christine (Tom) Swinney of Gosha, KY; three grandchildren, Sherry Bauer, Barbara (Tom) Jones and Bobby Stringfellow, Jr.; five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
