Tony Sanders Obituary
November 26, 1969 - January 18, 2021
Palmetto, Georgia - Mr. Tony Lee Sanders, Jr. transitioned home peacefully Monday at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA, He was 51 years of age.
The son of Tony, Sr. and Frances Hollis Sanders, Mr. Sanders was a Columbus native who was a 1987 graduate of Shaw High School. He attended University of Alaska at Faibanks and was employed as a truck driver with Koch Transportation Company in Buford, GA. Mr. Sanders was a U. S. Army Veteran of 12 years who served during Desert Storm. He was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Williams Gentry. Surviving his departure with cherished memories, include: his wife of 16 years, Mrs. Mollie Davis Sanders; four sons, Ricardo Davis (Rachelle), Jessie Foster (Erica), Tevin Sanders(Tamia) and Terrence Sanders; a daughter, Brittany McLean; five grandchildren, Rashad Davis, Roslyn Davis, Dae'Myrie Mickles, Marilyn Foster and Tyler Sanders; two siblings, Barbara J. Hillard and Jerome Hillard; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Holt; beloved in-laws, Johnny Davis, Daniel Davis, Michael Lowe, Marcus Lowe (Monique), Clayton Gentry; a devoted niece, Jekeysia Hollis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
The Homegoing Services for Mr. Sanders will be held Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in The Progressive Funeral Home Chapel followed by the interment at Green Acres Cemetery. Online condolences can be expressed at progressivefuneralhome.com

I am VERY sad and heartbroken to know that my brother passed. I will keep the sweet memories of him, especially knowing that he helped me to attain my Master's degree. I will keep Molly and his family in my prayers. Tony had a huge heart and I will miss him. Miles separate us but God's spirit keeps us together. Forever in my heart.

Tony was a good guy, friendly, and we shared my snacks in PE at Fort. We remained friends . His wife Molly is a good friend of mine of too. Im so sorry for the loss of Tony. I just found out yesterday.
