Virginia Brescia Obituary

Virginia Hope Brescia, 88, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Brescia was born December 3, 1922 in Joplin, Missouri, the only child of James Daniel and Georgia Bennett Daniel. She was a homemaker who went to school in her early 40's and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from the Medical Center after some 20 years of devoted service as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Brescia.
Mrs. Brescia is survived by one daughter, Virginia B. (Bobby) Johnston of Columbus, GA; three sons, John R. (Pam) Brescia of Columbus, GA, J. Michael (Kenna) Brescia of Orlando, FL and Paul D. (Patty) Brescia of California; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Billy (Claudia) Brescia of Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to your favorite charity in Mrs. Brescia's memory.
