Wesley Wagoner Obituary

Wesley Eugene Wagoner July 10, 1926- May 6, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Wesley Eugene Wagoner, 80, of Columbus, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT, Thursday with full military honors at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Sammy Turner officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening (Wednesday) from 5-7 p.m. EDT. Mr. Wagoner was born July 10, 1926 in Torrance Long Beach, California, son of the late W.T.R. Wagoner and Florence E. Parker Wagoner. He was retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service and also retired from Civil Service. Mr. Wagoner was a member of Seale Baptist Church in Seale, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Harrison Wagoner; two sons, Michael Wagoner and Edward Wagoner; two brothers, Roy Wagoner and Elden Wagoner; two sisters, Dorothy Stevens and Sue and a grandson, Edward Wesley Wagoner. He is survived by two sons, Dennis Wagoner and wife Kimberly of Columbus, GA., Mark Wagoner and wife Sara of Seale, AL.; two brothers, Max Wagoner and wife Marye of Carlsbad, NM. and Walker Wagoner of OR.; three grandchildren, Mike E. Wagoner, Kevin Wagoner and Jessica Wagoner; one great grandchild, Madison Wagoner; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seale Baptist Church in Seale, AL., 3 Chapel St., Seale, AL.
