William Parks Medley, Jr. December 16, 2007 CUMMING, GA— William Parks Medley, Jr., 78, of Cumming, GA died at his home on Sunday, December 16, 2007. A long time resident of Georgia, Mr. Medley is predeceased by his beloved wife, Dollie Jean Medley and his sister, Irene Wolf of Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 4:00 Ð 6:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with services following at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Perry, FL on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 3:00 pm. Mr. Medley served for 29 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Seabee and was a supervisor for 45 years with Burnham Van Lines. Mr. Medley is survived by his daughter, Delorez and Charles Askew of Cumming, GA; sons, Don Carlos Garcia of St. Augustine, FL and Ronald Mapes of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Shannon and Thomas Gilbert of Cumming, GA, Tara and John Hedelius of Cumming, GA, Ashley and Ryan Hufstetler of Alpharetta, GA, Don Carlos and Travis Garcia of CA, Bill, Grant and Katie Garcia of St. Augustine, FL; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Noah Thomas Gilbert of Cumming, GA and Preston and Chase Hedelius of Cumming, GA; sisters, Delois Watkins, Ruth Brook and Betty Woods of Columbus, GA, Estelle Scarborough of Valley, AL, Francis Dilworth of Worster, OH, and Virginia Rhodes of Little Rock, AR; brothers, George Medley of Stone Mountain, GA, and Harry Medley of Columbus, GA.
