Houze Family--
I absolutely love the picture of your husband, dad, and friend; please know how much you're all in my thoughts and prayers as you (continue to) walk through this season of loss... there is certainly a double edged sword to relationships: the closer you are with someone throughout your life, the more intense the pain is when the inevitable goodbye comes.
Again, know that I'm praying for you all, and don't forget to smile in remembering how much fun you had with him.
Much love--

My condolences to the Houze family, including Bill's beloved staff. I had the honor of working with Bill during my employment with Henry County. What a wonderful, warm, professional and understanding person Bill was. He was the epitome of the first line of Rudyard Kipling's poem "If." "If you can keep your head when all about you, are losing theirs and blaming it on you." Bill was grace under fire and his "coolness" kept me in check. I thank God for putting Bill in my path. I know you all will miss him terribly but Bill's love for you will carry you through. Be blessed.

Charlotte, what shocking news to learn of Bill's death. There are a great many people who will miss him and are grateful he was a part of their lives. LHS Class of 1961 will certainly miss his generous participation in all of our reunions. He was a gracious southern gentleman with a big smile and kind spirit. Together you shared a life well lived. Our prayers are with you as you face the time ahead. May you be strengthened in the knowledge that your friends and family will be there for you.
