Alex, now the legendary Bob Barker has joined you and other game show legends in heaven. I'm always remembering you fondly and the wonderful difference you made in my life and millions of others, and I know you looked out for animals and animal rights just like Bob did. You and Bob and others in the game show industry have been family to me my whole life, giving me something to be happy about and be inspired by. I will continue to cherish the memories you all made and admire you all for making this world a better place.

I have many good memories of watching 'Jeopardy!' with my grandma. Though for many years, I didn't understand the show, I would still sit and patiently watch episode after episode with her.

I watched Mike Richards give an emotional message and he said "I'm Mike Richards the executive producer of "Jeopardy!" Over the weekend we lost our beloved host Alex Trebek. This is an enormous loss for our staff and crew his family and his millions of fans. He loved his show and everything he stood for, In fact he taped his final episodes less than two weeks ago. He will forever be an inspiration, We will air his final 35 episodes as they were shot. That's what he wanted." Before Mike Richards could finish, he sniffled as if he was about to cry. He said "On behalf of everyone here at "Jeopardy!" Thank you for everything Alex. This is Jeopardy!"

Alex is iconic. Not a day went by for nearly 20 years where my wife and I sat down to dinner and half an hour of entertaining education, often leading to some of our best discussions. While the show must go on, thus far it´s just not the same without Alex. We miss his stabilizing presence so much. Shalom

Trebek became part of the family over the years. I'd watch Jeopardy along with Wheel of Fortune pretty much any time I'd go see my grandmother. Even in her last years when she wasn't quite lucid it would always be on. I'd like to think it had a huge influence on my love of trivia. As an adult the local bar would have it on as well when I'd go with my dad. Though both are gone now, Trebek remained and I thought he'd be here forever as one of the last links I'd have to them. Alex was truly an inter-generational icon, and I can't think of too many people who are universally beloved and respected like him. He's on that short list with Morgan Freeman and Johnny Cash.

I have been watching Jeopardy for as long as I can remember, and am now a 78-year old senior citizen! Alex Trebek has always been an inspiration. His calm, cool and warm disposition epitomizes everything we should be striving to be. As was everyone, I was devastated by his illness and subsequent death. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I didn't know Alex in person but I grew up watching him on Classic Concentration, then watched him on Jeopardy! & then when he did the April fools episode back in 1997. Alex is one of the greatest game show hosts of all time & will be deeply missed by me & the millions of fans across the country. God bless you Alex and thank you for your near 40 year run of hosting Jeopardy that you did for 37 years.

It's not that I watched JEOPARDY on a regular basis, but, the more I learn of Alex's life and special qualities that he had, the more I've come to appreciate him. I will, however, now pay closer attention to any details forthcoming, on his life, and what made him the special person that he was-even tho late in the game. I'm adding my thankfulness for him and extraordinary people, such as he was- his goodness, plus his beautiful demeanor. My deepest thankfulness for people like Alex, and others like him. His example is one to use as a pattern to follow-cheers to you, Alex-and hope that God will instill your qualities in many more people. His family must be heartbroken, along with so many of ours. He will remain in our hearts, warmed with the thought of his being.
