Amanda Franks Obituary

NEW IPSWICH – Amanda L. Franks, 38, a resident of New Ipswich, died on January 17, 2018 at New London Hospital, New London, New Hampshire after a sudden illness. She was born on October 15, 1979 in Peterborough, a daughter of Scott A. Blease and Mercy L. King.  She attended schools in New Ipswich and Keene and graduated from Keene High School.

She was self-employed with her own cleaning business and made many friends through her business.

Amanda lived her life to the fullest and unapologetically followed her heart. She was a beautiful person inside and out.  She had a big heart and a kind soul.  She enjoyed her trips to the beach, getting there long before the crowds ever did.  Her family trips to Mexico were another of her favorite things. She was the family baker and baked elaborate cakes for all the special occasions.  Her world revolved around her family.

Amanda is predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Wilfred Blease, her aunt, Ellen McCreery, and her uncle, David King. Along with her parents, Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Franks; their children, Clayton, Ashley, Melania and Brayden; her step-father, Stephen King, of Keene; her father in law, Rick Franks, of New Ipswich and mother in law, Cindy Franks, of Jaffrey; her sister, Jolene King, and brother, Matt King, both of Keene; her brother in law, Matt Franks of New Ipswich; her nieces Haleigh and Savannah Evans and Addilynn King, all of Keene; her grandparents, Norma and Ken Dunton, of Fitzwilliam and Janice Blease of Greenville, and many aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss her dearly. Amanda's family extends a very special thank you to Andy's S&S Concrete family for all of their support and kindness during this difficult time. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452. A celebration of Amanda's life will follow the visitation at the Jaffrey VFW Hall, 12 Hathorn Road, Jaffrey. All are invited to come and share memories of Amanda with her loving family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Amanda's memory to the Franks Family Fund at any local TD Bank Branch.
