Charles (Charlie) Johnson

Bennington, NH — Charles (Charlie) Johnson, 64 of Bennington, NH, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, with his family by his side.

Charlie was born on March 19, 1958, in Bangor, Maine, to Edward and Cora Johnson. He spent his early years on Copeland Hill in Brewer, Maine and relocated to southern NH in his late teens.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Diane, son, Tyler and his wife Vanessa of Roanoke, VA, and son Dylan of Dover, NH, sisters Marcia Cookson, Katrina Taylor, Mary Jane Gosselin, and brother Shawn, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Joseph and Clifford, and nephew Benjamin.

Over the years, Charlie was a dedicated employee of Belletetes, Mathewson Companies, JCL Septic, and D.H. Hardwick and Sons. Recently retired, he was happiest when taking his dog Zoey for her daily rides, hanging out with his best 'Buds', and working on his property, which he took great pride in.

He will be remembered for his skilled craftsmanship, quick-witted humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. WP meetings, coffee dates, and Saturday visits will never be the same.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH is assisting the family.
