Christopher Coll Obituary
Chris was born in Jaffrey on Nov. 14, 1959, the son of Arthur and Gladys (Sollitt) Coll and has been a lifelong resident of this community.
He was a 1978 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey,
Chris was employed as a truck driver for East Coast Steele and worked for many years at other steel manufactures around the area. He was a Lieutenant with the Meadowood Fire Department for many years and worked also as an EMT for the Jaffrey - Rindge Memorial Ambulance.
Chris enjoyed old cars, spending time with his children and especially time spent with his grandchildren. When he was younger he almost lived most of his life at the New England Drag way where he enjoyed racing cars and working on cars.
He was a communicant and member of St. Patrick Parish in Jaffrey.
Chris married Judith 'Judy' (Folsom) Coll on Nov. 21, 1982. She died Jul. 22, 2014. Chris was also predeceased by his brother James Michael Coll on Apr. 22, 1963.
Survivors include his daughter, Jami Coll of Jaffrey; his two sons, Jason and Joshua Coll both of Jaffrey; three granddaughters, Carlee, Ashlynn and Brooklynn all of Jaffrey; four sisters, Faith T. Marrotte of Merrimack, N.H. Elizabeth M. Hueber of Jaffrey, Barbara A. Labonte of West Bend, Wis. and Lori R. Cast of Donalsonville, Ga., three brothers, Thomas J. Coll of Swanzey, and Timothy A. Coll and Kenneth J. Coll both of Jaffrey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 South) in Jaffrey.
Burial will be in the family lot at St. Patrick Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Neighbor Fund, P.O. Box 486 Jaffrey.
