Dana Mason Obituary
Greenville NH - Dana R. Mason Sr. passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2024. He was born October 6, 1951, the son of the late Edwin E. and Jennie M. (Greenough) Mason of Mont Vernon, NH.
He was raised in Mont Vernon and was a graduate of Milford Area High School in the class of 1969. After graduation, he worked in construction, carpentry, and was a heavy equipment operator. In 1974, he joined the US Navy, Seabee Division. He was stationed for most of his service on Nantucket Island where he made many friends and after leaving the Navy, he traveled back with his family to visit often. He then started his own business, selling and erecting steel buildings – Mason Associates and then Able Steel Buildings. He loved taking trips with his family to California, Canada, and Florida.
Dana is survived by his wife Helene (Vautour) Mason of Greenville, NH; his sons Dana R. Mason Jr. and his wife Jenny of Greenville, NH, Brett Mason and his wife Shannon of Temple, NH; his daughter Jennifer McNeil and her husband Rick of Wilton, NH; his grandchildren Tristan, Beau, Ivy, Laurel, and Clara; his sister Mary Holt and her husband Mark of Wilton, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Dana's name to Adult and Teen Challenge, 147 Laurel St Manchester, NH 03103.
