PETERBOROUGH - Daniel S. Acorn of Peterborough, 35, died peacefully on August 22, 2013, in Peterborough. Daniel was born on August 18, 1978 in Lowell, MA, the son of Angel Acorn and Ruth Ogletree.

Daniel spent his childhood in Lowell, MA, before moving to Manchester as a teen. He spent his early adulthood there before moving to Peterborough 10 years ago. He enjoyed music, particularly rap, was an avid coin collector, and enjoyed photography. He loved all children unconditionally and was known as "Uncle D Dog" to the kids.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his wife, Heather (Dame) Acorn, of Peterborough; his seven children: Kristen Hill, Danielle Acorn, Cody Picknell, Brittany Picknell, Daniel Acorn, Jr., Idaysha Acorn, and Nariya Acorn; his mother-in-law Debbie Pratt and father-in-law Frank Dane, his sister and brother-in-law Tonya Podsadowski and Devin Dame, his niece Madison, nephew Ryan, and his best friend and nephew Dominic. He is also survived by his brothers Steven and Angel Acorn of Manchester and his sister Helena Acorn of Manchester.

A prayer service, officiated by Reverend Judy Copeland, was held Sunday, August 25, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough. Visiting hours followed until 8:00 p.m.
