Daniel Smyth Obituary

HANCOCK - Daniel Smyth, 59, of Hancock died at his home Oct. 17, 2012.
He was born Dec. 26, 1952, in Newton, Mass., the son Robert A. Smyth and Phyllis Daniels Smyth.
Daniel lived in Wellesley, Mass., before moving to Hancock in the 1970s. He worked as the caretaker at Rosewood Glen Farm in Hancock, where he passionately cared for the farm and the horses. He found great joy in his work because of his love for being outside and caring for animals. Daniel had many longtime friends that he went to high school with whom he continued to stay in touch with on a regular basis. He will be missed by many.
Daniel is survived by his sister, Kerry Moore, and her husband, Clyde, of Hancock, as well as five nieces and nephews who were so dear to him: Danielle, Eve, Bradford, Kate and Nathan, and his great-niece and great-nephew Lilly and Hunter.
He was predeceased by his sister, Robin Smyth, in 1993.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Jellison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
