David 77 Obituary
Jaffrey NH - David P. Quimby, 78, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away on June 14, 2024, in Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was born in Lincoln, Maine on July 23, 1946, a son to the late Percy L. and Eleanor Mildred (AuCoin) Quimby.
David enlisted in the United States Army in 1965- 1968 stationed in Plieku, Vietnam where he was injured and received 2 purple hearts. Following his enlistment, he worked various jobs throughout the area as a Mechanical Engineer, including Teleflex, NHBB, W.W. Cross and Norm's Thriftway in Jaffrey. During his retirement he enjoyed providing transportation for veterans to medical appointments through the Jaffrey American Legion.
In addition to both parents, David was predeceased by his daughter Angel Collum, who he loved very much.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy (Pelletier) Quimby, His son Ryan Quimby and his wife Tiffany (Monteverde) of Fitzwilliam NH, and his sister Sandra Cannon of Cranston, RI.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St., Jaffrey, NH 03452.
Burial with Military Honors will follow immediately in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hillcrest Road, Jaffrey, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in David's name to Jaffrey Rehabilitation & Nursing Center 20 Plantation Drive, Jaffrey, N.H., 03452.
