Dennis Labbe Obituary

RINDGE - Dennis W. Labbe, 62, of Rindge died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 4, 2014 at UMASS Medical Center, in Worcester, Mass.

Dennis was born on May 6, 1952 in Lowell, Mass., son of the late Roger and Dolores (Martel) Labbe. He attended schools in Lowell and served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Dennis had been employed as a machinist for over 15 years at Raytheon in Andover, Mass. and was most recently employed at Hayden-Kerk Ametek in Milford.

Dennis liked trying his luck at playing the lottery, and also enjoyed old horror movies and shows, like Creature Double Feature. But most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends and especially his loving grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dennis' brother Walter also died earlier.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of over 38 years, Nancy (Baum) Labbe of Rindge; his two daughters, Danielle and her husband, Scott Woodman of Jaffrey, and Karen Walton of Gardner, Mass.; his son, Philip and his wife, Debora Chura of Fitchburg, Mass.; six grandchildren, Meagan Walton, Rachel Walton, Alicia Walton, London Chura, Leah Woodman and Olivia Chura; three sisters and their spouses, Sandra and Richard Chouinard of Dracut, Mass., Lisa and Brian Buckley of Derry, N.H., Michelle Labbe and her fiancé Christopher Dunn of Gardner, Mass. and his brother John Labbe of Pembroke, N.H.

Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 South), Jaffrey. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
