John McLatchy

New Ipswich, NH - John Carl McLatchy, age 72 passed peacefully at his home on July 15th 2025 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born March 9th, 1953 in Winchester, Massachusetts as the youngest child to the late William H. McLatchy, Jr. and the late Helen L. (Hodge) McLatchy

John grew up in Woburn, MA and began working as a teenager with his brothers in exterior remodeling. He married Elaine M. (Buttaro) McLatchy in 1975 and later welcomed his first son, Sean. John moved to NH in 1984 and married Maureen Ann (Kenney) McLatchy in 1986. His family was completed following the births of Kevin and Meghan.

He was the owner/operator of "John's Remodeling" for more than 40 years. He was well known for his specialty work in vinyl siding. A lover of music, drums and dancing, his spirit was infectious and he was always the life of the party. An avid fisherman and hunter, he spent the majority of his time in the great outdoors where he felt most alive. A lover of life, family, dogs, and boating he always wore a smile. He was a loving Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Friend, the beloved "Papa" to his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

He leaves behind is wife of 39 years; Maureen, son Sean McLatchy and his wife Cristina of Chelmsford, son Kevin McLatchy, daughter Meghan (McLatchy) Carr and son in law, Timothy of New Ipswich. John also leaves behind his seven treasured grandchildren; Giana, Bella, John, Odessa, Maddox, McKenna and Timothy, Jr. Survived by his brother William H. and Theresa McLatchy, III of Zephyrhills FL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was predeceased by his sister, Velma A.("Mickey") McLatchy and his brother Donald P. McLatchy in 2019

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 27th from 1-5 Pm at The VFW Post 4368 located at 1 VFW Way Milford, NH 03055.
