New Boston, NH - Rosemary Gallagher died peacefully December 18, 2025 at the age of 96 at Hospice House in Concord, NH. Rosemary was born January 22, 1929 in Somerville, Massachusetts to Walter and Eva Reardon. She attended St. Joseph's School all the way through high school. After graduating, Rosemary moved to New York City and attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. While in New York she met two lifelong beloved friends, Joanie Lawler and Peggy Jampolsky. She enjoyed theatre and acted in a variety of plays in New York and later in community theatre, where she played the role of Elvira Condomine from Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit to great acclaim. Rosemary met Edward Gallagher Jr. in New York and they married March 17, 1953. After working for Northeast Airlines in New York, Rosemary and Ed moved to Beverly, Massachusetts in 1959 to raise their family. Rosemary began working in real estate in 1962 and continued in that field for over 50 years. The family eventually settled in New Boston, NH in 1971. During her time in New Boston, Rosemary also volunteered for many years as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) advocating to family court judges in the best interest of abused or neglected children. She loved good food and was a great cook. Boiled lobster was her favorite meal, and her New England clam chowder was the best in all the world. Her Eggs Benedict were a cherished Christmas tradition for decades. She is survived by her four children Ted Gallagher, Jane Gallagher Hooper (Patrick), Andrew Gallagher, and Sheila Gallagher (John Kinsman) and she loved spending time with her grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, and Katherine.

No formal services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the spring with details to be announced at a later date.
