MaryJane Daley Obituary

MaryJane Pauline Daley

New Ipswich, NH - MaryJane "Pauline" Daley of New Ipswich, NH passed away peacefully at home in the loving care of her family on January 10th, 2026 at the age of 87.

MaryJane was born on August 12, 1938 in Lowell, MA to Armand and Laura Cote. She grew up in Westford, MA; graduating from Westford Academy in 1959. It was there she met and later married her husband James Daley Jr. They settled in New Ipswich in 1963. MaryJane was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

MaryJane had many interests and hobbies. She could be found at her sewing machine making clothes or knitting warm mittens, hats and sweaters. She was a wonderful cook and baker; always famous for her home-made spaghetti sauce, bread, and blueberry muffins. She thoroughly enjoyed tending to her large vegetable garden and beautiful flower gardens- collecting daylilies of many colors, hiking and cross country skiing. Later in life she enjoyed spending time on her back porch; watching birds, reading books and visiting with her loved ones.

Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren; always ready for a visit and a special "squeeeeze" hug.

MaryJane is survived by her husband of 69 years, James A Daley Jr., her sister Yvette Furtado of Lawton, OK, her children: Micheal Daley, Mark Daley of New Ipswich, NH, Susan Daley of New Ipswich, NH, Timothy Daley (Cheri) of Deering, NH, her grandchildren: Timothy Blais Jr (Jessica), Heather Palmer (Benjamin), David Blais (Christina), Jonathan Daley, Elizabeth Johnson (Jamie), Jeramiah Daley (Brittany), Zachary Daley (Lindsey), Samuel Daley, Sean Daley (Sarah), Erik Daley, 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her best friend Sylvia Setevdemio. She is predeceased by three of her siblings: Doris, Claire and Real Cote and her grandson Andrew J Blais of New Ipswich.

MaryJane will be missed for her beautiful smile, her kind and gentle spirit, her warm hugs, and her sense of humor. MaryJane's memory will live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life is planned for the spring.

Yesterday

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. I have very fond memories of MaryJane. Back in the 70´S through the early 90´s our family owned the New Ipswich market. Back then it was a country store, so MaryJane would come in almost everyday to get a few things . She was always so nice to talk to , and had a wonderful personality and smile. Rest in peace MaryJane.
