Scott and I had the great privilege of getting to know Loretta from our many weekly visits to the good shepherd nursing home (while visiting Scott's Mom). She was absolutely wonderful, and we truly loved her. She will be so very greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences.

We were blessed to have such an incredible person as our Aunt Loretta. She was like another mother to me: always supportive and loving, very generous with her time and gifting, lots of fun, and a wise confidante. Life was not the same without her going full throttle. Even though she was a not complainer and made the best of it, I too am relieved that she is no longer wheelchair bound and partially crippled from that stroke. And that the struggle of her last days has ended. Instead, I will remember her as the athlete she was: out-jogging me in her 50s when I was in my 20s, teaching me all the surface swimming strokes and some water ballet moves. I will remember her as the fully-functional bon vivant and world traveler: she enjoyed fine dining, cocktail time, and good music; which we especially enjoyed later in life while savoring New Orleans together. Loretta May Pollock was a role-model as a successful career woman, who always had a nice apt filled with family antiques and original artwork, drove hot cars (the series of Mustangs), yet who had rock-solid values and would stand up for others. Irreplaceable actually ...

We are very saddened to learn of Loretta's passing. We have very fond memories of our good times together. Loretta was a kind, caring and giving person. She always spoke lovingly of her family and was very proud of them. Loretta enjoyed getting together with friends and always had that sweet glint in her eye. Loretta will be missed. We extend our deepest sympathy.
