Raymond Valliere Obituary

Raymond C. Valliere Jr.

Greenville, NH - Raymond C. Valliere Jr, age 79, a long-time resident of Greenville, NH, passed away on March 4, 2026, in the comfort of his home with his wife and son by his side, following a brief illness.

Ray was born in Fitchburg, MA, on July 28, 1946, a son to the late Raymond Valliere Sr., and Doris R. (Rodier) Bosse.

Ray attended Sacred Heart and Appleton Academy, graduating in 1964 before enlisting in the National Guard. During his service, he and several of his high school friends were called up in preparation for deployment to Vietnam; however, their unit was ultimately not deployed.

Ray was a dedicated provider for his family throughout his career, working as a cylindrical specialist at several companies. He spent many years at the American National Can Company in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and later worked at Resin Systems until his retirement.

A self-taught organist, Ray developed an exceptional ability to play music entirely by heart. He had a deep appreciation for old cars and motorcycles, enjoyed fishing, and cherished taking family vacations with those he loved most. Ray will be remembered and deeply missed for his kindness, gentle spirit, and the love he showed to everyone around him.

Ray was predeceased by both of his parents.

Ray leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 58 years, Kathleen Valliere of Greenville, his two daughters; Joy Richardson and her husband Ron, and their children, Camden and William of Charlotte, NC, Megan Valliere and her partner Rich Laurencell, and her children, Emma, Dylan and Levi. He also leaves his son, Mark Valliere and his children, Steven and Kaylee, of Franklin, NH, as well as a great-granddaughter, Charlotte.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 19 High St., Greenville, NH.

Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery will take place in the Spring.
