Roger 84 Obituary
Dublin, NH - Roger W. Murray, Sr., 84, of Dublin, NH, passed away on May 24, 2024, at Monadnock Community Hospital with his family by side. He was born in Peterborough, NH, on July 30, 1939, a son to the late John and Blanche (Naylor) Murray, where he also grew up and attended high school.
After he married his beloved wife Yvonne (Tabor) Murray on July 2, 1960, he got a job at Monadnock Paper Mill where he worked for 42 years. He also worked at various odd jobs in his early years to support his growing family. In later years he and Yvonne had a chance to enjoy some leisure travel trips to visit their west coast families. His biggest passion was boating with fellow boaters from Dublin on Lake Champlain for over 25 wonderful years.
In addition to his parents, John, and Blanche, he was also predeceased by his two brothers, Robert Murray, and Richard Murray.
He leaves behind his wife Yvonne of almost 64 years, his children; Kathleen (David) Calloway, Laura Kelly, both of whom live in California, and Roger W. Murray, Jr. of Antrim, and Brian (Jessica Haas) of W. Peterborough. Papa will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Christina, Kyle, Cammy, Liam, and Osiris, and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his brother Roland (Butch)Murray and his wife Kim of Peterborough.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00AM in Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 12 Church St., Peterborough, NH. Friends and family are invited to arrive at 10:30AM, for an opportunity to greet family members in the church Narthex.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Roger's name to End 68 Hours of Hunger, c/o SAU 1, 106 Hancock Rd., Peterborough, NH 03458.
Burial will take place at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
