Virginia M. Howard

Sullivan NH - Virginia M. "Ginny" "Peco" Howard, 80, a longtime resident of Sullivan, NH, passed away on June 10, 2024, at her home in Sullivan.

Her parents, Rena (Ellis) and Onni Mackey, Sr. welcomed their daughter into the world on August 5, 1943, in Keene, NH. Ginny grew up in Harrisville, NH attending local schools. She resided in Keene for several years before move to Sullivan in 1983.

Ginny worked as an assembler with MPB Corporation in Keene for many years. She later worked at the Sullivan Post Office and then until her retirement, she worked for over ten years with Audio Accessories of Marlow, NH.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and was an avid reader. In her early years, she started writing to several pen pals, and kept writing and in touch with these pen pal friends for many years.

Ginny was a member of the Board of Selectman for the Town of Sullivan. She also found a special place in her heart for animals and birds.

She will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her son, Gary W. Howard, Sr. of Marlow, NH; her grandchildren, Katilynn Anderson, Gary Howard, Jr., Jesse Howard, Sr., Jamie Howard; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Andrew F. Mackey and his wife June, of Greenville, NH; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Her husband, Rex O. Howard, Sr., a son, Rex O. Howard Jr., a daughter, Betsy Jo Howard, and three brothers, Walter Mackey, Onni Mackey, Jr., and Daniel Mackey, predeceased her.

A celebration of Virginia's life will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Community Church of Harrisville & Chesham, 13 Canal Street, Harrisville, NH. All are welcome. Burial in the Howard Family Cemetery will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Howard's memory to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.

So sorry to find put peco had passed yes she will be missed we kept in touch for many years after my divorce. Rex took me to get my drivers license at age 18 in his old jeep honcho. They qere both great people. Related by marriage but stay friends for many years then covid lost touch. To all her children amd grand children god bless. I will hold on to all the memories and fun times had with them both. She made the best breads banana and zucchini in the world. See ya on the other side my friend
