I heard Colonel Joe on the local AM radio station in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I contacted him about his cancer treatment. He sent me his writings in the mail free of charge. He was always delightful to speak with and listen to his war stories.

I have Col Joe's book and we live by it with excellent results. I had the extreme pleasure of speaking with him only once, but I was amazed by his intelligence and how humble he was. I had no idea how accomplished he was and what he had to endure as a Nazi POW. My stepfather was caught up in that also. I had no idea that it was as bad or worse than the Bataan Death March in the Philippines in WWII until Bill told me about the POW March in the Black Forest. Col Joe and I had something in common as military test pilots and had a great visit before he died. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends, the world has lost a great gentleman and a scholar. I know and pray that he was welcomed warmly with Jesus Christ saying to him "Well done my great and faithful servant" in the Kingdom of Heaven upon his passing. Colonel Joseph Frances Hart was the best of the best of this nation and the Greatest Generation. He will be greatly and sadly missed.

Joe and I became good friends. I used his diet in the first days and learned that it cured my arthritis.
I had many long visits with the Col.
I will miss him very much.
I hope his work will be continued.

Col Joe reached more people that he could ever know. I share his Hart Dietary Procedure with anyone who is struggling with cancer or other serious illnesses. He has saved lives and his research will save lives for generations. Thank you Col Joe for your service and contributions to all of us. I don't think he ever met a stranger.

I had the distinct honor and privilege of knowing Col. Joe for years. I considered him brilliant, I considered him a hero in the truest sense of the word and most precious to me, I considered him my friend.
I was a radio talk show host at the time and upon learning that a man from Pea Ridge has received 3 patents from the United States Patent Office for a dietary procedure that cure cancer, I was skeptical. He took the time to speak with me and explain the diet before we booked our first interview.
It was the first of many hours we would spend together, talking in depth in that public forum. We took calls from all over the world and spoke with people from all walks of life, all interested to hear this great man's story and research. It didn't take long for me to become a believer and a dedicated follower of his procedure. I attribute his discovery in part to why I have experienced no illnesses in almost 13 years.
One of my favorite programs we broadcast was on Veterans' Day when he joined me in the studio to talk for 4 straight hours about his experiences during World War II, as well as before and in the aftermath. He shared pain and struggle, heroism and resolve. He shared a part of his life and himself that few veterans feel comfortable disclosing and I feel all who heard those moments were blessed.
I will miss Col. Joe. His work, his words and his compassion have singularly improved my life and left a lasting impression upon me that I hope I can pass along to others in sharing his incredible story.

I had the opportunity to meet with Colonel Joe Hart when he would visit Congressman Steve Womack's office. His flight experiece both in the military and test pilot for the Boeing B-47 was extraordinary. Time spent with Colonel Joe was always educational and hearing history from a man who lived it. His many medals, ribbons and badges underscore his remarkable service to our great Nation. Rest in Peace Colonel Joe. Job well done!

I had the privilege of meeting Col. Joe in June 2010 when I sold him his flagpole that sits high up in front of his home in Pea Ridge. We talked for hours in my office and then I visited him at his house while my install crew installed his flagpole. He was very proud of his 30' flagpole. He told me stories and shared photos and his military records with me. He gave me a copy of a photograph of the Spirit of Chicago plane he flew and of a letter dated 12/17/44 that he wrote. It was a pleasure to get to spend time with him and hear the stories from a WWII hero. Rest in peace, my friend Col. Joe.
