Dr. Lyle Havens was our family doctor, and delivered my 2 younger sisters. I'll never forget when he came to our home to soothe my mother, Sharon Rose Erwin Haq, after the sudden death of our father Raza-ul-Haq, during a cricket game in 1971. Lyle continued to care for us and was my role model family doctor.

I later attended medical school and became a family doctor and professor, partly due to the great positive impact Lyle had on our family.

He was a great man, a great doctor, and will be sorely missed.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Haq MD

Mary, Jim, and Walter

Our deepest condolences over the loss
of your dad. He, too, felt more like an uncle than a cousin to us. Lyle's dedication to his family and the unparalleled accomplishments in his profession have made all of us very proud of him. We're sure that our late grandfather Reeves would have felt the same way.

Dear Havens Family,

Our parents leona and Specks Densford were patients Dr. Lyle and thought the world of him. My sister Connie and Mary were childhood friends from St. Augustine and Providence, and Connie often spent time with Mary at the house on Sparks Ave. Connie said she had fond memories of the Havens family. I remember many times riding down that long driveway with my mom to pick Connie up after she spent time with Mary and how much I admired their wonderful old home .

With heartfelt sympathy,

Julie, Connie, Kathy, Bill and Tom Densford

Lyle Havens was the dearest, wisest, most intelligent man that Jeffersonville, Indiana has known or ever will. We were lucky to have him for as long as we did, and he will be missed forever more. He was a sexy beast with a sparkling wit and much charm. May Patricia and all his family celebrate him joyfully. Wish I could be there. In spirit, I am. Love and prayers to you all.
