A SERVICE at Holy Trinity Church, Shirebrook, preceded burial at the town's cemetery of Mrs Annie Oxley (72), of Thickley Close, Shirebrook.Born at Shirebrook and educated at Carter Lane Infants and Model Village Girls schools, Mrs Oxley was a life-long resident of the area.For the majority of her working life she worked at Viyella, Pleasley Mills, then at Oak Amusements, Shirebrook until retiring approximately seven years ago.She loved at bet on the horses at Ladbrokes by picking family and pet names, playing the lottery - winning a holiday to Florida on the link bingo, which she shared with her Mam, Sarah and enjoyed holidays to Skegness, Devon and Cornwall with her son.Mrs Oxley, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her husband, Mr George Oxley, son Darren and grandson Dean Graem.Mourners were Mr G. Oxley, Mr D. Oxley, Mr D. G. Oxley, Mr E. R. Binnell, Mr and Mrs M. Layton, Mr and Mrs J. Radford, Mr and Mrs S. Major, Mr and Mrs P. Gower, Mr and Mrs A. Goodwin, Mr and Mrs R. Barksby, Miss S.
