Sending my deepest condolences. Paul was so special to me. The best boss I ever had, he delighted in the company of `smart women´. Quick with a hug, a kind word, and compassionate perspective, mine is among the countless lives he touched and made better.
His warm hospitality, mad chef and gardening skills, and love of literature and music also influenced me in so many wonderful ways.
I will remember him with deep affection and respect. I thank him for taking a chance on me as a new teacher all those years ago. May his memory be for a blessing.

I had Paul for 2 English classes at Temple in 1970-1. One, Children's Literature for Adults, was particularly good. He became an advisor and mentor to me. I will always remember him as a kind, smart & gentle man.
I wrote to him a few times after Temple, and we had a couple of very good epistolary chats. R I P, Paul. Bob Giampietro, Temple, 1972

I will miss Paul forever! He was our dear friend ! What a wonderful human Paul was. Whether he was teaching , singing, organizing events for both kids and adults, camping or
traveling he did so with panache! He could hold court with life changing tales! Paul was a humanitarian . He showed compassion for everyone. His home was a work of art with complete attention to every detail. A true renaissance man. Paul was a dear friend to my husband Ted and myself and a beloved uncle to our children. There are no words to describe what he meant to us. He was loved and loved well!

So sorry to lose Paul who was a wonderful friend who could always add cheer and humor to my day. I so enjoyed being his office mate at Temple University where we both taught. After, he became a dear friend, and we had many adventures hiking, especially at Indian Lake where we and other friends camped. He had a brilliant intellect and sometimes startled me with his insight and wit.
My condolences to all of us, especially to Nick and his family.
